Newly elected Deputy Mayor of Rugby, Deepah Roberts is off to a great start. Spending most of her first weekend as Deputy Mayor attending events.

Deepah attended the Ready Steady charity Fun Run yesterday and rang the starter bell, she said, "Well done to all the runners who have help raise much needed funds for local charities." The 5k fun run is now an annual event which is organised by the Rugby Round Table in conjunction with Rugby & Northampton Athletics Club. The event raises funds for worthy local causes, is open to runners of all abilities, male and female, from the age of eight.
