Councillors Yousef Dahmash and Ian Picker have successfully campaigned to have Rugby Police conduct high profile visibility checks in August and September on The Kent and Lower Street. Police monitored the speed and volume of traffic at different times of the day to collect data on the number of traffic offences committed on these residential roads.
Cllr. Ian Picker commented, “Residents on the Kent and Lower Street should not have to put up with the kind of reckless driving that has become all too common. We will continue to liaise with the police to explore whether improved traffic calming measures are necessary.”
