‘Rugby Borough Council is undertaking a series of Heritage Open Days to stimulate interest in the Borough’s history, both to existing residents and potential tourists. These Heritage Days are taking place on back-to-back weekends in September and Ryton residents may wish to take advantage of the local sites being promoted.’
‘A number of the Borough’s Churches are holding events in the theme of peace and reconciliation, and St Leonard’s Church is participating from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 September. Also worth knowing about it Ryton Organic Gardens and Coombe Abbey Country Park offer of free entry to the public over both weekends. Nearby Princethorpe College will be inviting visitors to tour through the historic part of their estate too.’
‘I encourage any interested villager to view the Council’s website where further details can be obtained: www.therugbytown.co.uk/HOD2018. We hope to see many of you at the various events!’
