West Midlands Conservatives have announced their full candidate team for next May’s European elections. Following a series of ‘speed dating’ meetings where Party members questioned candidates on their priorities and a postal ballot of members the list of candidates for the region is:
- Philip Bradbourn MEP
- Anthea McIntyre MEP
- Daniel Dalton
- Michael Burnett
- Sibby Buckle
- Daniel Sames
- Alex Avern
“We have selected an experienced, hard working team who will deliver for people across the West Midlands. Led by two MEPs the team has strong roots in the Midlands and they bring together a range of skills and interests that reflect the needs of people living and working in the Region” said Maggie Punyer Chairman of West Midlands Conservatives.
“The team fully supports giving Britain an In Out referendum on our future relationship with the EU in 2017. They will work to cut red tape and ensure the EU works for British jobs and business; they want to cut the costs of the EU and ensure Britain negotiates tighter controls of our boarders.
“I am delighted to be leading the West Midland Euro team for next year’s elections. We have a real record of delivering for local people and businesses and want to see the West Midlands thrive and prosper within an EU that works well for us all” said Phil Bradbourn MEP
“Next May’s European elections are really important for the future of our country and if local people want the EU to change the only way to ensure that happens is to vote for the Conservative team on May 22” said Maggie Punyer.
