Councillors Kathryn Lawrence, Ian Picker, David Cranham and County Councillor Yousef Dahmash are wishing their residents in Hillmorton a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
In their latest In Touch the Councillors express their views on 2018. They talk of progress made at Houlton including the opening of St. Gabriel's C of E Academy and the wonderful new park. Another award won for the historic village green with the work of the Hillmorton Village Green Association recognised with a silver award at the Heart of England in Bloom competition. The tribute made by hundreds of residents during this years Remembrance Day and the support that's needed to help the Hillmorton branch of the Royal British legion to continue this tradition in years to come.
Looking ahead, 2019 will see an upgrade to the Paddox Pub junction, works will also include safe crossings for pedestrians. Opening of the Houlton link road which should ease traffic congestion in the village and locals will get their say on the Featherbed Recreation Ground.
