The second phase of the hearing will begin tomorrow. It will focus on housing allocations at villages in the borough together with gypsy and traveller allocations, economic development policies and sustainable design. The process of examination is intended to establish the ‘soundness’ and legality of Rugby’s Local Plan.
Portfolio holder for growth and investment, Cllr. Heather Timms, said, "The plan delivers sustainable growth for the town, along with supporting infrastructure."
The first stage of the public hearing was conducted from January 23rd 2018 to February 1st 2018. If the inspector agrees the plan is sound, its likely to be adopted by the council in the spring.
