Protecting the environment is one of the most important challenges facing our generation. The Conservative Government’s new Environment Bill will establish new legally binding targets on air quality and environmental biodiversity. Under the Conservatives, the UK has consistently been a world leader on the environment and we have already legislated to commit to reaching Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. I am pleased that companies in Rugby are already playing their part by investing in the technology of tomorrow to make this a reality. One of these is the London Electric Vehicle Company in Ansty Park where last week, the Prime Minister unveiled our plans for clean energy revolution to tackle climate change, grow our economy and create high skilled, high wage jobs.
