After hearing that the government will provide up to £2million for the Caldecott Square development, Cllr Jill Simpson-Vince, the councils conservative portfolio holder for Growth and Investment, said, “I am thrilled that Rugby Borough Council has secured up to £2 million of government funding to speed up the development of Caldecott Square. With this funding and with planning permission already granted we will be able to bring forward the regeneration of one of our most important town centre sites."
The development includes sheltered apartments, a wellness centre and bistro, and would potentially bring an electric vehicle car pool and charging station to the town centre.
